Maintenance Department

The highest priority goal, among many, of the Maintenance and Operations Department is to have all school facilities open on a daily basis. Further, to as well as can be possibly accomplished, serve the needs and to result to provide a safe, comfortable working environment for all Kankakee School District 111, students, staff members, visitors and administrators.

Objective Highlights

• Maintain the buildings to be reliably open for all school days
• Maintain District grounds areas, mowing in summer, ice and snow work in winter
• Manage District Health Life Safety Program
• Manage District AHERA mandated asbestos materials program
• Manage District Skilled Labor group
• Manage District first and second shift Custodial Labor group for daily
• House keeping needs as well as for all after hour activities
• Manage District Integrated Pest Control services for all facilities
• Manage daily work order requests for work from all buildings. Plan, estimate, and schedule the work. Review efforts to expedite the work to completion.
