The Health Center staff has enjoyed serving the health needs of your children again this year. You are very fortunate to live in a school district that is able to offer the services of a School Based Health Center to its students. The Health Centers are available during the summer to get a "head start" on school and sports physicals and immunizations. We ask that you use this opportunity to beat the last minute rush in the fall. The Health Center staff may be reached at 933-0690 (KHS) or 933-0772 (KJHS) for an appointment or enrollment information. Remember that all 9th grade, 5th grade, and Kindergarten students, as well as any student transferring from out of state, are required by state law to have a new physical and up to date immunizations on file with the school.
We are proud to have a School-Based Health Center with 2 sites available to provide health services to our district's students.
Both Health Centers are open Monday-Friday during school hours with after school appointments also available. Both sites are staffed with well-qualified health professionals to serve the needs of our district's students. The staff includes licensed nurses, a licensed clinical social worker, certified nurse practitioners and a board certified pediatrician. Dental care is also available by appointment at the KJHS site.
We hope that we can be of assistance to you by caring for your students/children as well as serving as a valuable resource to parents and teachers when needed.
